Alpine Angling and Roaring Fork Anglers are premier fly fishing shops and guide services serving the Roaring Fork Valley from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. The shops provide comprehensive fishing equipment, professional guide services, and adventure travel planning for fishing excursions ranging from local spring creek trout to international saltwater adventures.

The outfitters offer guided Colorado fly fishing trips on all four of the Roaring Fork Valley’s rivers including the Colorado River, Roaring Fork River, Frying Pan River, and Crystal River, serving areas from Aspen and Snowmass to Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs. Services include guided wade trips and float trips for freshwater fishing, with access to private waters like the BarZX and Giannetti Spring Creeks. Trips to area lakes, streams, and creeks can also be arranged. Professional guides average 10 years of experience. All trips include rods, waders, and beverages, with full-day trips including lunches and three-quarter-day trips including light snacks. Rod fees for private ranches, fishing licenses, flies, and gratuities are not included. Advanced reservations are highly recommended, with deposits or credit card numbers required to hold reservations.

Both fly shops carry a vast array of fly fishing gear to fit any budget or ability level, stocking multiple brands of fly rods, fly reels, waders, clothing, and accessories. The selection ranges from gear for 8-inch spring creek trout to equipment for 150-pound tarpon on Caribbean excursions. Closeout discounts on previous seasons’ gear are regularly updated. Alpine Angling also specializes in adventure travel planning and hosted trips for saltwater and freshwater fly fishing destinations. Saltwater destinations include the Bahamas, Xcalak, Campeche, Tarpon Cay, Isla de Sabalo and Ascension Bay on the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Florida, Midway Island in the Pacific, and more. Freshwater destinations include Alaska, Patagonia, and other exotic locations. Trips are planned to maximize fishing time and minimize travel time, with skilled anglers serving as hosts. The shops provide current river flow information, fishing reports, and hatch charts updated hourly.
