Carbondale Farmers Market Description

The Carbondale Farmers Market is a weekly outdoor market held every Wednesday from June through September at 4th and Main Street in downtown Carbondale. Operating for over 20 years, the market runs from 10am to 3pm, June 3 through September 30, and brings together a rotating mix of local farmers, food producers, artisans, and musicians in the heart of downtown.

Organized as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, the Carbondale Farmers’ Market was established to support small farms and local businesses across the Roaring Fork Valley by creating a direct sales platform for locally grown and locally made goods. All vendors are Colorado-based, and participants follow Evergreen Zero Waste practices, using only compostable dinnerware. The market operates in partnership with the Town of Carbondale and the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce.

Since 2019, the market has participated in the USDA SNAP program, allowing EBT cardholders to pick up SNAP coupons at the Market Information Booth. The market also takes part in the Double Up Food Bucks Program, administered by Live Well Colorado, which doubles the spending power of EBT cards up to $20 per card per day for purchases of fresh fruits and vegetables at no additional cost to the customer.
The Carbondale Farmers’ Market operates every Wednesday, June 3 through September 30, from 10am to 3pm at 4th and Main Street in downtown Carbondale.
