Experienced local guides serve as teachers, helping beginners and intermediate anglers master techniques efficiently, while expert fly fishers hire guides for local knowledge, rigging assistance, or float trip rowing. Guided trips are available in half-day (4 hours), three-quarter day (6 hours), or full day (8 hours) formats. The shop offers both wade (walking) and float trips (in drift boats or rafts) on renowned public water across four major rivers just minutes away, plus a portfolio of private water properties for wading trips with separate access fees.

All guided trips include necessary gear (rod, reel, waders, boots, leader, tippet), flies at no additional charge, cold drinks on all trips, snacks on three-quarter day trips, lunch on full day trips, an experienced local guide, and transportation to and from the river unless clients choose to follow the guide. Not included are gratuity, rod fees for private water access on wade trips, hat or rain jacket, and Colorado fishing license. The shop requires at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Deposits are usually not required for guide trips, with payment at time of service. However, bookings within 48 hours are charged at time of booking, and group trips requiring three or more guides require a 50% non-refundable deposit.

The shop does not sell fishing licenses but can assist with online purchases from Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Licenses must be verified before trips and kept as proof during fishing. The shop operates year-round with extensive inventory of fly fishing equipment suitable for Colorado’s diverse fishing conditions. The valley offers good fishing almost any time, with shoulder spring and fall seasons plus summer evening trips providing excellent opportunities. Rain does not cancel trips unless severe and hazardous.
