Snowmass Rodeo
Snowmass Rodeo Description
Snowmass Rodeo returns to 2735 Brush Creek Road in Snowmass Village for its 52nd consecutive season, running every Wednesday evening from June 17 through August 19, 2026. Produced by the Snowmass Western Heritage Association, which was established in 2003 to carry the event forward, Snowmass Rodeo holds the distinction of being the longest-running weekly rodeo in Colorado. Gates open at 5 p.m. for a Western barbecue and vendor booths, with main arena competition running from 7 to 8:30 p.m., rain or shine.
The arena events reflect traditional ranch skills, including bull riding, team roping, and barrel racing, performed by professional cowboys and cowgirls alongside stock supplied by local contractors. Snowmass Rodeo sits at an unusual intersection for the valley: a working-heritage event staged within walking distance of a resort community built around skiing and fine dining. Many of the families and stock contractors involved have generational ties to ranching in the region, and the crowd on the dirt-side bleachers mixes longtime locals with visitors who may never have attended a rodeo before. That combination has kept Snowmass Rodeo recognizable as a genuine community event rather than a staged tourist attraction, even as Snowmass Village itself has grown around it.
Tickets are sold exclusively through Eventbrite, with no third-party resale accepted, and attendance is capped at 2,000 guests per night, so advance purchase is recommended since performances do sell out. Children two and under attend free. Outside alcohol is not permitted on the grounds, and pets should be left at home. Parking directly at the rodeo lot is limited, and roadway shoulder parking is prohibited at all times, so guests are encouraged to use the Brush Creek Park and Ride, the gravel lot at Black Saddle, or the Two Creeks parking lot.
A free shuttle loops between the rodeo grounds and Two Creeks, and most Snowmass Village lodging properties run their own shuttles to the grounds as well. With only a handful of performances remaining in the 2026 season, Snowmass Rodeo continues to offer one of the more direct ways to experience the Roaring Fork Valley’s ranching history alongside its resort present.
